Discipline up to April 24, 2020 at 9:30 am will be used to determine if a student is disqualified from the contest. Any majority infraction that requires a mandatory DAEP placement will disqualify a student from the contest.
TRIPLE ENTRIES:
Any Senior Student that receives 11 to 13 (13 can possibly be earned by a student who received an entry as a junior student) entries will triple their number of entries for the key drawing. Ex. If a student earns 12 entries, they will enter their name 36 times into the drawing for a chance at getting their name drawn for a key. If a senior does not receive the 11 through 13 entries, their number of earned entries will be placed in the drawing for the opportunity to receive one of the 30 keys. Juniors will not be eligible to earn a key this year. Entries earned as a Junior will not be added to any earned Senior Entries to qualify for the car drawing.
ELIMINATION FROM CONTEST:
Elimination from the contest may include but are not limited to, (1) not meeting the above criteria, major infractions of the SWISD Student Code of Conduct that results in a Mandatory DAEP placement will disqualify student from contest.
MINORS:
In the case of a Southwest High School senior who is a minor, their parent or legal guardian will be responsible for filling out the entry form into the contest and the acceptance of the vehicle and all terms and conditions set forth herein, including but not limited to signing any waiver of liability on acceptance of the vehicle. Southwest High School is responsible for determining official attendance and eligibility of Southwest High School juniors and seniors in the contest.
PRIZE:
One (1) Toyota Vehicle will be awarded to one (1) eligible senior randomly selected by a drawing as set forth above, or at a later date, place, and time, if so required. Retail value of the car is approximated by North Park Toyota. Cash in lieu of acceptance of the car is not allowed.
TAXES AND CHARGES:
Winning student is responsible for all applicable taxes (whether local, state, federal, or international), surcharges, tariffs, shipping and handling, registration fees, the cost of insurance, inspection fees, and all other costs associated with taking possession of the car. Winning student is also responsible for title, license, registration, and all other requirements related to use of the automobile.
WARRANTY:
Neither North Park Toyota of San Antonio (NPTOSA) nor Gulf States Toyota (GST) nor their agents or agencies assume any responsibility for damages, losses, or injury resulting from the car or its operation. NPTOSA and GST and their agencies and agents make no warranty of any kind regarding the car.
NPTOSA and GST and their agencies and agents expressly exclude all implied warranties, including warranties of merchant ability for a particular purpose. There are no warranties offered by NPTOSA and GST, their agencies or agents which extend beyond the description on the face hereof. Odds of being selected to receive the 2019 Toyota depend on the number of eligible students for the drawing.
