The Southwest Independent School District Career and Technology Education department offers a comprehensive program that is designed to prepare students to be successful whether they choose to pursue higher education, technical or trade school, or to enter the workforce after completing their high school education. Course offerings and content are continuously monitored to ensure that programs are current with today's technology and are relevant to the requirements of today's employer. Courses are offered at Southwest High School (SWHS), and Southwest Legacy High School (SWLHS). Admission to these programs is based on interest, aptitude, age appropriateness, and class size available.
