Please be advised that the TRS-ActiveCare Select plan will use a different Aetna provider network and function a little differently than the other two plans. For the San Antonio/Bexar County area, the Aetna network for the ActiveCare Select plan is “Baptist Health System & Health Texas Medical Group”. Participants in ActiveCare Select must use providers in this network for plan benefits. There are no out-of-network benefits, except in the event of a medical emergency as defined by the plan.
As a reminder, TRS-ActiveCare 1-HD and ActiveCare 2 will use the “Aetna Open Access Choice POS II” network which is much larger. These two plans also have non-network benefits available.

TRS-ActiveCare Prescription Drug Plan – Caremark
Call the TRS-ActiveCare Customer Service number at 1-800-222-9205. At the prompt, press 2 to connect directly to a Customer Care Representative, or visit the Caremark TRS-ActiveCare website.

Elections and/or changes made to your medical plan during Open Enrollment will be effective September 1, 2019 and will be payroll deducted from the August paycheck.
